We started homeschool this year with our two young children and with that we decided to incorporate Kiwi Boxes into our STEM activities. That said in our October box they sent us a recipe for “energy bites” and the recipe was dietitian mom approved so here we are exploring measurements and baking skills!
Recipe: (Ohana Glow version)
1 cup oats
1/4 cup honey or alternative sweetener / you could also sub date paste in equal amounts
1/2 cup nut butter of choice
1/3 cup dairy free chocolate chips 🍫 (mini)
*we also added Cinnamon - we love cinnamon and tend to add a lot but add to your preferences as an option
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and then roll into bite size ball servings.
Set aside in fridge for about 45 minutes and then enjoy!!!
You could also set the mixture aside in fridge (About 15 minutes) before rolling into bite size pieces BUT we preferred the messy hands so we rolled and then opted for fridge.
